Slow News Day of the Day: A marquee in Boise, Idaho, announcing a September 11th concert by instrumental post-rock band Explosions in the Sky is causing some controversy because we’ve apparently run out of things to be upset about.
NBC New York called the concert “poorly timed” and reminded readers that “thousands of New Yorkers still suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder from the twin airplane explosions.”
Egyptian Theatre booking manager Joy Hart doesn’t really get what NBC New York is on about. “I think it’s unfortunate that the band is being equated with the tragic events of 9/11 in 2001,” she told local NBC affiliate KTVB. “It is absolutely a coincidence.”
Hart says not a single person has come forward to complain.

This. Is. Fucking. Stupid. fuckingstupid. NBC, fuck you. Also, america shut up.
